I made this card for my Dad for his Birthday. My Mom and I were in Salt Lake City, Utah for Stampin’ Up! Inspire.Create.Share Convention on his birthday, but we made sure to leave him some love!
I used the stamp set from the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin Monthly Subscription Kit and I CASEd a card I saw on Pinterest. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! including Whisper White cardstock, Bermuda Bay cardstock, Crushed Curry ink, Cucumber Crush ink, memento tuxedo black ink, Cherry on Top DSP Stack, and Crystal Affects.
My Boyfriend Jordan and one of our good friends Pia have the same Birthday! We knew Pia for about 2 years before we really put two and two together to realize that they celebrate the same day!
For the past three years we have celebrated Jordan’s birthday at the Faster Horses Festival in Brooklyn, MI. It’s a three day country music festival! This year we split our time between the festival, my company picnic, and a surprise party downtown Detroit for Pia!
I made them nearly identical cards but I used different DSP and different cardstock to give one a more masculine feel. I wont lie, making masculine cards is difficult sometimes without making a dark card. I am loving the Cherry on Top DSP stack and all the coordinating items that go with it!
I CASEd a card from Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Inge Groot. I love the Artisan Design Team for all of the ideas and inspiration they provide! I used the exact same stamp set and layout and colors for Pia’s card (the second card), but I changed the colors for Jordan’s card (the first card). I also think I made my card a smaller size.
All supplies are Stampin’ Up! including Sprinkles of Life (Ronald McDonald House Charities) stamp set, Tree Builder Punch, Watermelon Wonder cardstock, Pool Party cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Bermuda Bay cardstock, Crushed Curry cardstock, Triple Banner Punch, and handheld stapler.
By far 2014 has been my busiest year in such a long time. I started this year taking 3 classes when I normally only take 2 while working. On top of my full time job, part time schooling, and my new demonstratorship with Stampin’ Up! I decided that I wanted to help make my Godson’s 4th birthday party his best yet! He wanted a Paw Patrol themed birthday party, Paw Patrol is a show on Nick, Jr. and I have no idea what the show is actually about!
Because this show is new there wasn’t much (read: any) merchandise available in the party supplies section at any stores around me so I made it all!
In the above picture (sorry it’s a little blurry) I made 21 rosettes for the banner, 40+ rosettes for the cookie cups, 12 rosettes for the center pieces, and several rosettes to hang from the ceiling. The letters in the banner were printed in yellow ink on white cardstock and then I cut each one of them out! I then used foam tape to connect the letters to glittery blue circles I cut out and then attached to the red rosettes.
I made stickers to put on the center piece buckets and on the pinwheels. Also on the tables I made confetti out of pictures of the characters to sprinkle on all of the tables.
On the day before his party my Godson mentioned that he wanted his chair decorated so I had to quickly come up with something cute! I bought silver and green balloons and a green plastic table clothe. I simply cut down the size of the table clothes and attached the balloons to the chair. I also printed a shield of his favorite character Rocky to make his chair more special.
The prep for this his birthday party started just after his little brothers first birthday party in February. We celebrated the last week of March. All of our hard work and planning paid off by making a very specially little boys birthday so special!
I’m planning to show you more of what I’ve been up to since I dropped of the face of the internet!
Last Saturday I was in a crafting mood. I cleaned up my craft room and started stamping away. I started with this card:
And then I made 4 more with different colored embellishments. Here is what one of the others looked like:
Happy to have some cute birthday cards on hand!
I made this card for Baby Caleb who turned 1 on February 1st! Jordan and I were so happy to be able to celebrate with our friends and their family. While the snow and weather is playing a huge role in our plans this winter we are all definitely making the best out of all the situations that present themselves!
Big Thanks to everyone who changed their plans so we could change our plans that weekend!
Look for this card on Etsy soon, I also plan on posting a girly version too!
The nautical theme is very big right now. I started looking at it when I found an awesome stamp set/stamp company while searching Pinterest.
I made this card following a Mojo Monday sketch and using new Tresa Collins paper I bought at our LLC and then again on a discount website because I loved it so much! This card is A2 in size (which is 5.5X4.25), but next week I’ll show you are card that I made using the same paper, colors, and stamp but is an A6 size (which is 6.25X4.5).
It feels so good to be back and sharing! I’ve got a lot of different things in the air right now and I can’t wait to tell everyone about it! Thanks for stopping by today, come back soon!
Ladies and Gentlemen thank you for your patience of the last MONTH, but I am finally back to the blogging world! To make an incredibly long and boring story very short: Computer crashed and burned, tried to recover hard drive information, bought new computer finally after decided what I wanted, and now finally getting back into the groove!
I’d like to share with you a few cards from last month. I’ve been busy with work, school, and pretending I have a social life that I haven’t spent much time in the my craft room, but that is all about to change. I will fill you in on a few of the details of my upcoming plans as I get back into the swing of things on the blog.
This card I made for my friend Stephanie to give to our friend Katie for her birthday at the end of August. If you can remember back to August I was an extremely busy girl and ran out of time to post this card. Also remember that when I make cards that get sent out to friends and family, I like them to see the card first before I share it with everyone else!
I can’t remember if this card is a CAS of a card that I saw on SCS or another one of the blogs I visit or if it is a sketch challenge. I feel so out of the loop not being tied into the web for so long! I used one of my favorite paper collections…I’m running low…yikes! And one of my favorite new stamp sets from MFT Stamps. This card turned out so well I think I might make a few more in different colors!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today, it’s good to be back!
Last week Thursday was my friend Katie’s birthday. Although I sent her a card on time I didn’t have time to post it because of all the other fun and exciting things going on in the past few weeks.
I made this card using an MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge sketch. As you know I am a big fan and I continue to use sketches over and over again. I recently decided the re-use a favorite sketch for some Christmas cards (yes I am thinking about them already).
I added stickles to the frosting part of the cupcake, but clearly I did that after I took the picture. You can imagine how cute it is with sparkles.
Thanks again for stopping by, visit again soon!
Today is my friend Allisons birthday! I made this card for her at the beginning of the month when I was motivated to make everyone stellar cards!
I followed a Sweet Sunday Sketch for this card and used MFT Birthday Balloons (remember I said you’d see these alot)! I also used some Core’dinations paper I order from SU, but I’m not sure I am reaching the full potential of the colored core. I’ll have to keep working at it.
I also really love the Everyday Eclectic paper from Echo Park (can’t you tell I’m almost to the point of over use). I can’t help it, the DP matches the current In Colors from SU really well!
Thanks for visiting today! Come back soon, I’ve got alot to share this month!
Today is our friend Chucks birthday. I made this card for him nearly 2 weeks ago, but I was on a roll making birthday cards.
I used the same paper that I made Jordans birthday card with because I really liked the combination. I also used my new MFT stamps that I won for making a comment during their monthly teaser time post for their monthly new release. I’ve never won anything before so I was super excited! You will see a lot more of these balloons, I am a big fan.
Thanks for checking things out today, check back soon!
