Quick resolutions update…the out of control spiral continued into February and I feel even more overwhelmed that it is already March.
I am nowhere near where I planned to be goals wise by now and a few big projects are taking much longer than I had planned. So I’m official starting over! My focus will be on time management going forward. I have my planners and my “to do” lists to help me achieve success.
Now I need to stay focused! Hopefully, I will have good news to share in April!
I forgot to share an anniversary card I made for some friends who recently celebrated their 1 year wedding anniversary! I often forget to share my cards because I want the recipients to be the first to see them!
I used mint macaron cardstock, basic black cardstock, vellum cardstock, and timeless elegance DSP. I added a little bit of black lace ribbon I had in my scrap bin to finish off the look.
All of the products I used can be found on my website (except the black lace)!
I made this card for Scotty and Amanda to congratulate them on their engagement! I didn’t want to give them two cards at their housewarming party so I send this one in the mail!
I like this layout (I believe it was a sketch) so you will see it throughout the blog! I used all Stampin’ Up! products including Timeless Love stamp set, Crumb Cake cardstock, Buckeroo Blue cardstokc (R), Vellum cardstock, English Garden DSP, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Sahara Sand Lace Trim, VersaMark ink, and Gold embossing powder.
Last Saturday we celebrated my Brother and his Fiances new house! I made them this cute little card and ordered them a return address stamp that they will be able to use for many years to come! Congratulations Scotty and Amanda!
All supplies are Stampin’ Up! except for the markers I used to color the house! Home for the Holidays (R) stamp set, Homemade Holiday Framelits (R), Basic Black cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Mint Macaron cardstock, Timeless Elegance DSP, and memento tuxedo black ink.
It seems lately no matter how well I plan out my day something always gets in the way or runs over! My entire town is under construction…which might be an exaggeration…but also isn’t when you think about it. Driving anywhere right now takes at least 20 minutes longer than it normally does. With my crazy retail schedule I get one weekday off each week and 2 full weekends off each month so my time for running errands is limited to say the least. I’m so thankful to be on a break from school…it’s only 2 weeks long, but I’ll take what I can get!
I’m trying to get back into a routine of posting, but sometimes I feel like my time for crafting is so limited that I would rather do that than post about it…I’m sure most of you understand that! I have a class/workshop tomorrow that I created 5 or 6 (I’m still creating!) projects for…I’ll try to take pictures of them while everyone is creating them at class so I can post about them…deal?…deal!
I’ve uploading my most recent newsletter under the newsletter tab and I’ll be mailing some out to my e-mail free friends! If you want a copy sent to you by e-mail or snail mail please let me know I’d be happy to send one along! Thanks for stopping by today!
Every time I have a week day off of work I have a super long “To Do” list around the house and down in my craft room. I generally don’t get everything on my list done and it carries over. I always have big plans for planning out my blog posts, but lately I haven’t been able to post as I have planned.
Here are a few things I have been working on:
I had 2 Etsy orders that needed to be filled. Each one of the orders had 2 cards in the order and all of them had to be made from scratch. I love filling Etsy orders and I love sharing my crafts with everyone.
2 of the cards ordered where exactly like the cards listed on Etsy, but 2 of them were completely new and exciting. The first a Graduation card and the second a wedding card.
I like creating custom cards. I also enjoy when customers want to add their own personal touch of their loved ones name or a special date.
I have so much fun coloring these cards. Thanks for stopping by today and taking a look at what I’ve been up too! I’m hoping to have more blog posts to share with everyone soon!
I’m trying to figure out what ways would be best to share Stampin’ Up! and paper crafting with all of my friends, their friends, and their friends!
Please take my survey!
It’s quick, only 10 questions that are easy to answer. If I have success with this survey I likely wont have to every make another one…fingers crossed.
If you have any questions please contact me…email…Facebook…Twitter…phone…text!
Is anyone sick of the snow yet? I know I am! I’m hoping spring is right around the corner with some bright sunshine and slightly warmer temps,
I’ve been very busy with school and work and a few other things happening here, so I haven’t been able to spend much time in my craft room. In fact it’s sort of been taken over by homework lately, while that makes me sad and frustrated I have to make sacrifices to achieve my goals.
I’m still going full steam ahead with Stampin’ Up! So please check out my latest news letting under the NEWSLETTER page. Also I’ve added a promotional even call Quarter Mania! They are held all over, but I will be participating in the one at the Saline American Legion. There is also a link under the NEWSLETTER page that will allow you to pull up a flyer for that event. Come one come all, as long as they are 18 or older.
I’m hoping to be able to share some pictures of what I’ve been doing for the last month and what I have coming up. Some days I think I could really use an assistant…the job probably wouldn’t pay well, but at least you’d get to hang out with me a bit and enjoy some crafting!
Visit again soon!
This year is going to be all about being HAPPY! Everything that I am going to do this year is going to be about being happy, making the important people in my life happy, and spreading happiness.
Last year I had a few goals which I feel like I accomplished in the grand scheme of things. I’ve been focusing on my education…super exciting news…I only have 10 classes left when this semester ends in April. I’ve let go of things I can’t control or change which has allowed me to go with the flow a little more…this is something I will need to continue to work on…I’m a control freak!
I had two sub-goals last year as well, which I definitely accomplished. The first to have fun which we did all year! I think we made it to over 7 Tigers baseball games, we saw so many great concerts, and visited our cottage and other cottages all summer long. I think “having fun” will be a sub-goal again this year! The second was “make the best” which is basically a sub-goal specifically for “let go”. I can say that I have made the best out of a very long and complicated situation that I am hoping to be clear of by April.
This year is all about HAPPY! It’s time!
I made this card based on a card I had seen many years ago either in a magazine/catalog or on one of the may crafting websites that I visit. I remember printing off a picture and buying the paper from Stampin’ Up, but I don’t remember making the card. I thought it would be a perfect wedding or anniversary card.
When my friend asked me to make a card for another friends wedding anniversary I knew this would be the perfect card. I used old SU designer paper (I can’t remember the name to save my life), but new SU cardstock and flowers from the pretties kit. In fact this is my first SUO (Stampin’ Up Only) card that I have posted in a long time.
I loved the way it turned out! Thanks for visiting today, stop by tomorrow to see what I have been up too.
