Stamp Camp: Project Options

Hello Everyone! I’m posting some of the Stamp Camp Projects that have been big hits and are requested often.

Frame Tray

Sorry for the dark photo (it gets dark really early now)! But you get the general idea! This is a serving tray made from an 8×10 photo frame and some drawer pulls that I picked up at a hardware store. In class our handles are a little different, but the frames are pretty much the same…occasionally I cannot get enough of the same frame so I offer options.  Also, I include your choice of current DSP.

Stamp Camp is on November 23 at 12pm. RSVP now to reserve your spot for each project–review all project options in my current newsletter! You can make more than one of everything, but you must RSVP for multiples.

We will be making the Frightful Wreath Simply Created Kit from the Holiday Catalog. I will supply the stamp set, ink, hot glue, and and other tools we might need. The class with ONLY cost your $25 which you can pay the day of the class or in advance, but I will collect if you RSVP!

One Last Mini Post

One last mini project post and then I’ll move on to the One Set Wonder: Kinda Eclectic class I held on September 11, 2014! We made a cute little pizza box the hold a set of 4 3″x3″ cards.

I got the idea from a European Demo who’s YouTube channel I subscribe to. I had to cut the measurements down on the back to fit our cards, but it turned out really well.

You will want to cut your cardstock to 9 1/2″ x 7 1/4″ and then score along the 9 1/2″ side at 1″, 4 1/4″, 5 1/4″, and 8 1/4″. Next score along the 7 1/4″ side at 1″, 2″, 5 1/4″, and 6 1/4″. Once you’ve cut and scored your paper I recommend checking out this YouTube video in order to assemble! The box in the video is 4″ x 4″, DO NOT worry the basic assembly is the same.

At the end you will have a very cute finished box that will fit several 3″ x 3″ greeting cards!

More Mini

At the mini workshop in August we made the cutest Coffee Cup treat holders with little carrier. I ordered some 4 oz. coffee cups with lids from an online restaurant supply store and we were off!

In order to make the base of the box you will need to cut your paper to 6 1/2″x 7″ and score at 1″ all the way around your paper and then again at 2″ on the 7″ sides. Then you will cut 2″ in along the score line on the 6 1/2″ sides creating 4 2″ tabs to be tucked in to create the box. I used a piece of 8″ x 1″ cardstock for the handle which I attached with a glue dot and a staple on each side.

For the cups I simply took on cup apart to make a template to trace on my DSP that I covered the cups with. This was very easy and the only way I could get the correct measurements because of the arc in the cup. We filled our cups with Lindt truffles that were on sale at our local store…yummy!

If you would like some of these mini 4 oz. coffee cups please contact me. I have a cute idea for them around Christmas, but after that I’m not sure when I would use the quantity I have on hand!

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

Brilliant Mini Notebook

I gave my class two color options for the mini notebooks we made in class on August 28. The first your saw on Friday and this is the second. Most of the ladies chose this color combo and stamp set up, but one chose the black and white with pool party combo.

For this project I used the All Abloom DSP stack. I love the new DSP stacks you get 48 sheets of DSP in nearly card size so I never feel like I’m wasting any paper even if I have scraps. I used Island Indigo and Smoky Slate with the Be The Star stamp set and Star dies.

Four Feathers

I didn’t hold classes during the month of August until the 28th which is when the Holiday Catalog came out. I did this mostly so I could recovers from a whirlwind summer. My customers and I brainstormed what type of classes I should offer. We decided it would be fun to do a mini workshop where we made all of our projects in miniature.

Our first project was a mini composition book. We covered the books with Back in Black DSP and Pool Party Cardstock. Then we stamped the feathers on Pool Party, Silver, and Vellum Cardstock. I used the new Four Feathers stamp set and matching die. I embossed the two feathers on the vellum cardstock with white and pool party EP. I used stazon ink in black on the silver cardstock.

Paper Pumpkin Demo Day!

I’m so excited to announce my first ever FREE Stampin’ Up! event! On Monday, June 30, 2014 I am inviting everyone I know over to enjoy some fun and festive (think 4th of July-Independence Day!) Paper Pumpkin crafting! I’m calling this event Paper Pumpkin Demo Day because I want everyone to see all of the amazing possibilities that can be created with the monthly subscription of a Paper Pumpkin kit.

My kit just arrived in the mail! I’m so excited to start sharing it with all of my friends, but I don’t want to give away all of my surprises so I’m only going to post pictures of the kit. You will have to come to my event or check in afterwards to see the amazingly creative projects we make!

Each month when your Paper Pumpkin box arrives in your mailbox you will open it to find a neatly wrapped craft project and a special little pumpkin note to thank you for your subscription.

Once you open that first layer of Soft Sky tissue paper you will see some of the supplies you need to participate in a 30 minute creative escape! In this kit I got a Night of Navy Stampin’ Spot, a 3 piece Photopolymer Stamp Set, and several sheets of Mini Glue Dots.

Finally, when you tear open that last layer of tissue paper you get to see the good stuff. All of the supplies you will need to create a great project. In this kit I got 24 (yes you read that right, twenty-four) pinwheels, brads, paper clips, straws, and cellophane bags! It’s amazing the amount of goodies that are jam packed into this box!

Want in on this awesome monthly box of goodies! There are several ways to do this! My personal favorite way is to SUBSCRIBE to Paper Pumpkin with a month-to-month subscription or a prepaid subscription! My second favorite way is to come to my event, Paper Pumpkin Demo Day!

I hope to see you soon!

It’s been a while!

Hey everyone!

Is anyone sick of the snow yet? I know I am! I’m hoping spring is right around the corner with some bright sunshine and slightly warmer temps,

I’ve been very busy with school and work and a few other things happening here, so I haven’t been able to spend much time in my craft room. In fact it’s sort of been taken over by homework lately, while that makes me sad and frustrated I have to make sacrifices to achieve my goals.

I’m still going full steam ahead with Stampin’ Up! So please check out my latest news letting under the NEWSLETTER page. Also I’ve added a promotional even call Quarter Mania! They are held all over, but I will be participating in the one at the Saline American Legion. There is also a link under the NEWSLETTER page that will allow you to pull up a flyer for that event. Come one come all, as long as they are 18 or older.

I’m hoping to be able to share some pictures of what I’ve been doing for the last month and what I have coming up. Some days I think I could really use an assistant…the job probably wouldn’t pay well, but at least you’d get to hang out with me a bit and enjoy some crafting!

Visit again soon!

I Miss Your Face!

On Friday I will have a Sip and Stamp event where we will be making some clean and simple cards while we enjoy some made in Michigan wine. I’m excited for this new format, think of it as Paint and Pour or Painting with a Twist!

I sent some cards out to friends who haven’t been to a class in a little while.

This stamp came form a set that is a demonstrator exclusive from Stampin’ Up! I love this set and have big plans to use it all the time! I used a sketch from MFT for this card. I like this layout and color scheme so I used this exact same layout with a different sentiment for my swap at our last Stamp and Chat.

So cute! You will definitely see this layout again. I think it makes a stunning card really quick.

You’re Kind

I CASEd this card and shared it with my friends for a Stampin’ technique class last Friday. I love two step Stampin’, it’s one of the simplest techniques available and produces great results.

I’m going to make a set of these a in a few different colors. I know people will love this card!

Thanks for stopping by today. Check back on Monday I have a couple of cute baby cards to share!
