Hot Off The Presses

I just finished updating my newsletter. Which you can find here or by clicking the newsletter page button at the top of this blog. I want to point out a few key points and then I’ll share a few more cards from Card Buffet.

Key Point 1: I have 4 classes scheduled between now and the end of February, please RSVP, I want to see you all there! If you can’t make it to a class let me know and I’ll try to schedule another one.

KP 2: Host a party/workshop during Sale-A-Bration (SAB) you earn an additional $30 in hostess dollars, that’s at least $80 in FREE Stampin’ Up! merchandise!

KP 3: Join the Birthday Club! It’s a great way to get super cute birthday card ideas! Send me your name, address, and birthday and I will send you a birthday card (and encourage others to do the same)!

Now for some cards! A quick disclaimer-all of these cards were either found on pinterest, stampin’ connection, splitcoast stampers, or one of the other amazing websites I visit daily. I can hardly remember my keys, phone, and purse when leaving the house let alone where I saw these amazing cards. So thank you in advance for the wonderful ideas!

ChevronThanks OhHappyDay HeyThere!

All of the cards above were made at my first ever Card Buffet class January 10. The next card buffet will be held in either March or April to get everyone stocked up for the next set of holidays and birthdays.

The card below wasn’t a hit at Card Buffet so I’m turning it into a sample of how a kit for a card class would be done. Come to my class on January 23, 6-10pm (you can come as early as 5pm) and get this card as a bonus!

Thanks for visiting today, check back soon for more updates! This past weekend we were up at the cottage, I tried to take some pictures, but I’m never very good at getting postable pictures!

A New Year and A New Class

Here you go! A preview of the new class I’m offering this year!

The first class I have scheduled is January 10, 2014 from 6pm-10pm. This is a Card Buffet class where you chose your own projects from a selection of 15-20 different projects. This class is a work at your own pace class and I’ll be around the whole time to help you complete your projects and answer any questions you have.

Below are a couple of the sample projects I’m putting together for everyone. A couple will be holiday specific (Valentines Day), some will be birthday day theme, and the rest will be cards/projects we need in our stash!

Most of the sample cards are very pink and girly, but I promise I have some masculine options. In fact all 5 of the sample cards have more masculine color scheme available–pre-cut and ready to be assembled.

I followed sketches or CASEd these cards from Splitcoaststampers, StampinConnection, Pinterest, and a number of other sites I visit on a regular basis.

Stampin’ Up! 2014 Occasions Mini Catalog

In October, I started my journey as a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! So far the journey has been amazing. I’m learning so much from the entire network of demonstrators all over the country and even the world. My close knit team of local demonstrators is pretty darn awesome too! I’m so excited for our next team stamp day in January!

It’s time to start looking at the 2014 Occasions Mini Catalog that is available for viewing here, but it you would like your own hard copy please request on here. The product in this catalog will be available January 3-June 1 2014. I’ve prepared a few previews of product from this catalog, check back often to see them. Or check out my class schedule and use these products to make great projects.

Flurry Ornament Class

20131119-093408.jpg

We are still without power here, but I wanted to share a few things with everyone so I’m trying to post from my iPhone.

First, I’m doing a Festive Flurries Ornament class. If you missed the workshop this is the perfect class for you because we will be making 10 of the beautiful snowflakes that can be used as ornaments, tags, bows, and more!

This time I will change the colors up a bit, there will be a traditional red and green Christmas color option as well as a non-traditional color option. You can also make more than one set if you want! Each set of 10 will be $15. When you RSVP please let me know what your color choice will be. (For $20 I can put the kit together and ship it to you!)

Class date options:
December 4 @ 10am-2pm (RSVP November 25)
December 5 @ 10am-2pm (RSVP November 25)

December 11 @ 10am-2pm (RSVP December 1)
And
December 13 @ 6pm-10pm (RSVP December 1)

Please RSVP for this workshop on or before the corresponding date, I need to order the special gems that go on each snowflake!

Second, tomorrow starts the online sale at StampinUp.com. There will be special extra savings for the first 24 hours on November 20. Check it out and place your holiday orders at a discounted rate, but don’t forget to select Caroline Peck as your demonstrator!

I’m hoping to have a more detailed update for you tomorrow!

Third and final share for today, don’t forget the check out the weekly deals every Tuesday at Stampinup.com. The deals are typically on fun and fancy items that you don’t need, but when they are on sale they are fun to have!

Check back tomorrow, hopefully I’ll have power and a colorful update! One thing you can do by candle light is paper craft!

Holiday Workshop Success

Hi Everybody! I just want to share some of the great projects we created at the Holiday Workshop last Friday! I was super excited to host my first Stampin’ Up event and everything went very smooth.

I want to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed making these 5 awesome projects. I’m looking forward to all of the different events, workshops, and classes that I’ll be having in the future. If you are interested in learning about becoming a hostess for an in home event and earning all of the amazing benefits please let me know or click my new Stampin’ Up link to the right.

I started off the night by running through each of the different projects, it definitely was a blur, but everyone seemed to have a good handle on the stampin’ basics! We used a variety of different techniques from stamping, die-cutting, heat embossing, and paper punching. One of my most favorite parts of the evening is when everyone started to make the projects their own. One of the best (and sometimes worst) parts about Stampin’ Up Designer Series Papers is that they are double sided with coordinating colors so all of the paper matched the project and the participants got to choose which side they used.

I used the glass glitter for this ornament project and it turned out better than I had expected. In the past I’ve only used the ultra fine glitter, but the glass glitter gives the bulbs a vintage look. This ornament technique is super easy. I may just have to post how to do it in a later post! They make great gifts especially when you make a storage/gift box to go along with them.

I had a great time sharing my passion for paper crafting with everyone who attended and I look forward to future opportunities. If you were unable to make it, but are interested in the projects we made I do have kits available for the projects. Just let me know!
